About Us - Corporate Staff John C. Villines, Founder
For over 25 years, John Villines has been coordinating the various services we provide to parents, schools, therapists and others involved with at-risk youth. He is a published author, court qualified expert witness and frequent seminar presenter. His extensive experience includes dealing with thousands of families and professionals throughout the United States and foreign countries.
In 1970, as an undergraduate majoring in Social Work, John began working with at-risk youths as a volunteer. After finishing his degree in Urban Studies and attending three years of law school, he began devoting more of his professional career to addressing the issues involving at-risk youths. Consistently in contact with specialty schools, juvenile case workers and other professionals, his involvement included the location of runaways and abducted children, the transportation of oppositional adolescents, and the development and presentation of professional training seminars. In addition to remaining an active part of The Center for Safe Youth, which continues to provide these valuable services, he has served on the Board of Directors for a family counseling center, coordinated pro-bono services for families in need, and served as a consultant to various organizations dealing with at-risk youth.
J.D. Clanton, Liaison for Runaway Investigations
Following a distinguished career in law enforcement, JD Clanton has become a true asset to the Center for Safe Youth and the families we serve. His extensive background as a police supervisor, training officer and undercover investigator enable him to interact effectively with law enforcement and other government agencies.
JD has been with John C. Villines LLC since 1999, and has been their liaison to the Center for Safe Youth since that time. He is a licensed Private Investigator and fulfills various responsibilities, including dual management roles.
In his capacity as National Director of Runaway Investigations for John C. Villines LLC, his role is to oversee all runaway investigations, performing the initial assessment and coordinating investigative resources accordingly. Whether the runaway case involves a child who has been gone from their home for only a few hours, or involves a child missing for several weeks from a foreign country, his skill as an investigator and knowledge of the relevant laws contribute greatly to the successful outcome. Many grateful parents have called to express their appreciation for the effective guidance JD has provided by telephone, often enabling them to locate their runaway child without the need of retaining our services. His caring personality, phenomenal patience, and quick wit are the subject of many of the “thank you” calls we receive from parents and even the teens. R. Sean May, Logistics Coordinator After graduating as the valedictorian from Berry College, Sean enlisted in the Army as an Interrogator. After completing his tour of duty in human intelligence Sean returned to civilian education to complete additional training in electronics, surveillance, and counter-surveillance. Sean brings all of these skills to bear in providing support for runaway investigations and assisting with the administration of the corporate office.
